EBB + FLOW is a collection of coastal inspired abstract landscapes. This body of work is about shifting tides, rockpool exploration, sunset gazing and the beauty and wonder of the ocean.
The colour palette I chose for this collection evokes memories of warm golden sand, the cool depths of ocean pools and hazy pink sunsets.
I have 12 paintings in this collection in a few sizes ranging from sweet minis right up to a large statement 'conversation starter'. There is also several multi-directional pieces to give versatility to your art collection.
These are the last few pieces I will be releasing this year before I take a summer break with my family.

The smaller two are both 33 x 33 cm and perfect to sit on a shelf or perhaps add to a gallery wall. The larger two are 43 x 63 cm each and are beautiful striking artworks that would work in lots of spots around the home. Check out the mock insitu photos on each listing for some inspiration on where they could be hung at your place.
I hope you enjoy these NEW botanical pieces, its always a little daunting trying your hand at something different. Who knows maybe florals will become my new thing!

These paintings where created in tandem with one another....an ongoing conversation over a few months!
Individually they are each striking artworks which stand on their own. But I have also created them to hang alongside each other as a diptych. Hung together they combine to make an artwork 250 cm wide and 123 cm high - an amazing statement piece of art!
Check them out here where you can view lots of insitu photos and ideas on how they could be hung.

You can read more about me and this collection of work below...
Jackie Anderson is a New Zealand born mixed media artist working full time from her sunny Newcastle home studio. Inspired by her coastal surroundings Jackie translates impressions of the environment around her into beautifully layered abstract paintings. She is a colour driven creative and her art practice explores new ways of interpreting both built and natural landscapes into abstract form.
She studied visual arts, majoring in painting at the University of Auckland then spent almost a decade working and travelling in Europe. These years spent abroad continue to influence Jackie's art practice as she draws on memory and the process of story-telling in her work.
She exhibits her work regularly around Australia and has been a finalist in several national art prizes including the Fisher's Ghost Art Award and the Lethbridge Landscape Prize. She was also chosen as the Jumbled Art Superstar for 2019. Her works are held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand and America

Introducing 'Parallel universe I and II'.
These paintings are designed to hang horizontally or vertically (it's kind of like getting two paintings in one!!)
I have also created them to hang alongside each other as a diptych. Hung together they combine to make an artwork 210 cm wide and 155 cm high - an amazing statement piece of art!
Check them out here where you can view lots of insitu photos and ideas on how they could be hung.
]]>THE FUN TWIST??? The identity of each artist is anonymous when the artwork is exhibited. Only once purchased is the artist’s identity revealed on the reverse side of the work. Imagine snapping up a Blak Douglas or Laura Jones for just a hundred dollars!
They sold art non-stop all weekend however ran out of time to sell everything and of course they want to raise as much money as possible for Studio A so the remaining 1,200 artworks are now available to purchase online via their website.
This is fantastic news for all the non locals who couldn't make it to the sale day and also overseas buyers as they are happy to ship internationally.
You can view and purchase from the gallery of available artworks.
All profits raised will be donated to Studio A, a Sydney based arts company that provides professional development for artists with intellectual disabilities. Find out more about Studio A and the fantastic work they do by visiting their website www.studioa.org.au.

Time slows right down over the summer months a chance to unwind and re-connect. The smaller works were created over the holiday period with my family at home, when studio time was haphazard and fragmented by bushwalks and trips to the beach. I explored some new ideas on these small canvases and then once my children were back at school dove into translating these discoveries onto large surfaces. The inspiration for this collection was those long lazy summer days, ocean swims and desire to unplug from our usual busy routines.
This collection includes 18 paintings from small works of just 23 x 23 cm (perfect to sit on a shelf or add to a gallery wall hang) right up to a large multi-directional statement piece of 155 x 105 cm.
I hope you enjoy these paintings as much as I did creating them!
